We are very happy about our performance in Krumbach.
We learnt our lesson from Haltern, thus we didn't try any unknown settings.
The sled setting was a little too light in the first run.
Four tractors could qualify for the pull off while having bouncing runs.
The pull off was opened by Le Coiffeur who stopped at 73,35m. Next one was Roude Léiw junior; having adjusted the tyre pressure after the qualifying run, we managed to have a rather good run keeping the tractor in the middle of the track. Neither IsotovII, nor Joker could beat our distance of 88,18m. Another win for us thus!

Last weekend the 4th round of the german championship was held in Haltern at the Prickingshof, a very nice place.
The 2,5t modifieds were scheduled only the next to last class of the day.

Again we could qualify for the pull off. So did Red Painter, Joker, IsotovII, Le Coiffeur, and the Green Monster.

Because of the tropical temperatures, it was decided to do first the Super Stock qualification run before pulling the 2,5t mod pull off.

Because Red Painter did not come back, we were the first starter in the pull off. We wanted to know if our new chassis stays controllable by choosing very new tyre pressure settings.
Unfortunately bad things came together. Having too much fuel in the beginning of the pull off run (our own mistake....) the engine never managed to reach maximum rpm thus boost pressure was too low. After pushing hard the left brake, the engine couldn't handle any more the mixture and droped down in rpm, think the very hot air did the rest. We finished on a 5th place with only 70,69m. Green Monster did the best job an won the class ahead of a surprising Joker and Le Coiffeur.

New game next weekend in Krumbach.
The Hassmoor event was one of our most satisfying events with the junior till now.
The behaviour of our tractor is definitely much better than in 2009 and we are able to put more power down on track.

We could qualify rather easy for the pull off. So did Le coiffeur, Black Power, Joker, IsotovII and Red Painter.

A nice sled setting in our class made it possible to have a spectacular pull off. Le coiffeur opened the battle with 103,02m. Perfect in balance, the junior could also do an impressive run to 101,16m. As usually Paul did a good job on his Black Power and pulled to the winning distance 0f 103,27m. Joker and IsotovII were stopped around 90m, while Red Painter could not line up for the pull off.

We are really looking forward to the next events!
Again the track in Seifertshofen leaved a lot to be desired. It was very difficult, especially for the 2,5t modifieds, to find enough grip on the first meters. Accordingly we had big problems in our first run to set the sled in motion. A lot of patience and a good feeling for the throttle control was essential. Once the grip was found, we could qualify rather easy for the pull off. A good running Joker, Isotov II and of course Green Spirit VII as well could qualify for the Pull Off. Obviously our strategy for the final run was contrary to the other teams.
Instead of also changing the weight distribution, we only adjusted our tire pressure and after hooking the sled, I tried to run as less wheelspin as possible. It worked pretty good and we pulled to the winning distance of 96,27m. Again Joker showed a good pull to the second place with 85,52m while Green Spirit VII made it to the third place.
We were very pleased to see that all the new parts we fabricated at home after the Füchtorf event did the job.

First time out with a new and longer chassis, we did not expect to finnish on a second place behindGreen Spirit (NL), while taking the lead in the german championship!

Everything worked as expected, and we could qualify for the pull off with an straight impressive run. We had no problems in the pull off to keep the tractor between the lines, unfortunately at the end of our pull off run, a strange noise came out of the rear end and the tracor started to get bumpy.

Nevertheless this result pushes us to do further improvement for the next races, beeing curious how the tractor will work on less good tracks…..
     

Good news for the german 2,5t mod competitors, we saw our 2009 champion chassis into pieces :-)
